Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship Programme
With so many unemployed Youth and graduates it is clear that we need more programmes that offer youth the opportunity to do something with their lives. The Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship Programme aims to offer individuals the financial skills and education they need to start their own business and be successful at them. Financial literacy is the ability to use knowledge and skills to make effective and informed money management decisions. To start and manage your own business you need the right skills and mentorship. The reason why so many businesses fail is because of the lack of the relevant skills, poor planning , poor time and money management skills. Through this programme, we equip candidates with the right skills and knowledge to run a successful business by having mentors in the same field walk the journey with you.
After successful completion of the programme, candidates must write business plan and seek investors within the First Step Community to help start their own business. They in turn will be mentors for the next intake. The field of business will depend on the mentors that are available at a particular time.
The programme is designed to offer unique and specialized informal training to equip candidates with all the knowledge and skills they will need to run successful business. Whether you have an existing business or want to start a new one, this programme will help equip you with the needed skills and knowledge for you to excel in your business. Argiculture & Farming
Agriculture can help reduce poverty, raise incomes and improve food security for 80% of the world’s poor, who live in rural areas and work mainly in farming. Agriculture impacts society in many ways including supporting livelihoods through food, habitat, and jobs; providing raw materials for food and other products; and building strong economies through trade. The First Step aims to encourage youth to start farming and agriculture in order to support their communities.
